Attendance and roster software that keeps working offline
Staff mark attendance on their phone, at a kiosk at the gate or on a biometric device. Shifts, rotating rosters, late marks, half days, overtime and leave are worked out for you, and the month closes straight into payroll. When the network drops, nothing is lost.
Who it is for
Factories and warehouses with shifts, transport and distribution teams that are rarely in one place, schools, hospitals, hotels and offices — any business that pays people by the day they actually worked and needs the record to be right before salary day.
Three ways to mark attendance — use one or all
- Mobile appDuty on and duty off from the OpsX Partner app, checked against a geofence around the site so a punch from home does not count as a punch at the plant.
- Kiosk at the gateA shared Android tablet where each person enters their employee code and PIN. Built for gates where 200 people arrive in 15 minutes. See OpsX Kiosk.
- Biometric devicesPunches from biometric terminals flow into the same attendance record, so a site with a machine and a site with a kiosk close the month the same way.
- Supervisor markingA supervisor can mark or correct attendance, with the change recorded against their name — no silent edits.
Shifts, night shifts and rotating rosters
Define shifts once, then assign them by team or by person. Rotating roster cycles move people through morning, evening and night shifts on a pattern you set. A night shift that starts at 10 pm and ends at 6 am is counted as one working day, not two half days. Staff can ask to swap a shift and a manager approves it.
Late, half-day, overtime and leave — worked out, not argued
- Late marks and half daysGrace minutes and half-day thresholds you choose; the day is classified the same way every time.
- OvertimeHours beyond the shift are recorded as overtime for approval, so payroll pays what a manager accepted.
- Leave and comp-offLeave balances and a leave ledger; comp-off for working a holiday or week-off can be switched on per company.
- RegularizationA missed punch is fixed by a request and an approval, not by editing the record after the fact.
Works when the network does not
Punches are written to a queue on the device and sent in batches when signal returns. The queue survives the app being closed and the phone restarting, so a rice mill, a construction site or a warehouse with patchy 4G still gets every punch, with the time it was made.
In English and Hindi
Every screen of the product is available in English and Hindi, so a supervisor who reads Hindi works in Hindi. An automated check stops a release if a screen is missing in either language.
From attendance to salary without a spreadsheet
The monthly summary shows each person's present, absent, leave, holiday and week-off days, and the same numbers drive OpsX payroll. What the attendance screen says is what the payslip pays.
Questions
Does the attendance app work without internet?
Yes. Punches are stored on the phone or kiosk and sent when the network returns, with the original time of the punch.
Can we use biometric machines we already have?
OpsX takes punches from biometric terminals into the same attendance record as the app and the kiosk. Tell us the device model and we will confirm the connection during the demo.
Does it handle night shifts and rotating shifts?
Yes. Night shifts across midnight count as one working day, and rotating roster cycles move people through shifts on a pattern you set.
Is the software available in Hindi?
Yes. Every screen is available in English and Hindi.
